SERAFINO Anthony
Intro

I believe financial advice should be clear, personal and empowering.  Born and raised in Busselton, I understand the value of community and long-term relationships, and I bring these values to the way I work with every client.

Adviser Profile

On my very first day in this profession, my mentor, Cindell Baker, shared something that has guided me ever since:  “We are not here to sell things to clients. We are here to help people when needed, and support them for as long as they need us.”

She also told me, “Ask yourself what you would do for your mum and dad.  If it’s what you would do for your own family, then you know it is the right thing for our clients.”

Those words shaped my philosophy.  Financial advice is not about selling products or pushing an agenda – it is about care, trust and doing the right thing by the people we work with.  This principle continues to guide how I work with clients every day.

I am passionate about helping individuals and families prepare for retirement and make confident financial decisions.  My key areas of focus include retirement planning, superannuation, Centrelink entitlements, tax-effective strategies, investment structuring and aged care planning.

I take the time to understand what is important to each client and explain complex financial matters in a clear and practical way.  My aim is to develop strategies that not only make financial sense, but also support the lifestyle and long-term goals that matter to you.

At Cape Financial Planning, I believe advice should be an ongoing relationship.  As circumstances change throughout retirement and later life, I want clients to know they have someone they can turn to for guidance and support.

Experience

My career has been shaped by both practical life experience and formal education. In my early years, I managed our family’s poultry farm, which taught me the importance of hard work, discipline and problem-solving. When the farm was sold, I pursued my interest in finance by studying at Curtin University.

Since joining Cape Financial Planning, I have gained extensive experience across many areas of financial planning before progressing into my role as a Financial Adviser. I have worked closely with our advice team and clients across retirement planning, superannuation, Centrelink, investment strategies and later-life financial planning.

This experience, combined with my formal studies, has given me a practical and well-rounded approach to financial advice.

Qualifications

I hold a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance and Financial Planning, from Curtin University.

I am also recognised as an Aged Care Professional, with specialist knowledge in aged care and retirement planning. My experience allows me to help clients and their families understand their options, navigate the financial complexities of aged care, and make informed decisions with confidence.

I am committed to ongoing professional development to ensure my knowledge remains current as superannuation, taxation, Centrelink and aged care rules continue to evolve.

Personal interests

Outside of work, I enjoy tinkering with cars, camping and spending time with my family. I value new experiences and challenges and bring the same practical, down-to-earth approach to my professional life.
