Intro
I believe financial advice should be clear, personal and empowering. Born and raised in Busselton, I understand the importance of community and long-term relationships, and I bring these values into the way I work with clients.
Adviser Profile
On my very first day in this profession, my mentor, Cindell Baker, shared something that has guided me ever since: “We are not here to sell things to clients. We are here to help people when needed, and support them for as long as they need us.” She also told me, “Ask yourself what you would do for your mum and dad. If it’s what you would do for your own family, then you know it is the right thing for our clients.”
Those words truly shaped my philosophy. Financial services are not about selling products or pushing an agenda – it’s about care, trust and always doing the right thing by the people we work with. This principle continues to guide how I serve clients every day.
I am dedicated to helping individuals and families achieve financial goals with clarity and confidence. My passion lies in guiding clients through retirement planning, superannuation strategies, Centrelink entitlements, tax planning, and investment structure – areas where the right advice can make a meaningful difference in both lifestyle and long-term security.
What matters most to me is building trusted, lasting relationships. I take the time to truly understand your needs, simplify complex decisions, and provide strategies that are practical, tailored, and easy to follow. At Cape Financial Planning, you are not just another client – you are part of our financial planning family.
My passion lies in helping clients plan for retirement and navigate the complexities of superannuation and Centrelink. I focus on delivering advice that empowers you to make information financial choices. Whether it’s structuring superannuation, maximising Centrelink benefits, planning for retirement income, managing tax effectively, or support you with investment considerations, my role is to ensure you feel supported every step of the way.
I pride myself on taking the time to truly understand your goals and concerns. By working together, we can create tailored solutions that support both your present needs and your long-term future.
Experience
My career has been shaped by both life experience and formal education. In my early years, I managed our family’s poultry farm, which demanded hard work, discipline, and problem-solving. When the farm was sold, I pursued my passion for finance by studying at Curtin University. This transition gave me both practical life experience and academic knowledge, a combination that continues to guide how I support clients today.
Transitioning into financial planning allowed me to combine this grounded perspective with my formal studies in finance, giving me a well-rounded approach. During my time at Cape Financial Planning, I have worked closely with clients and our advice team across retirement planning, superannuation, Centrelink strategies, tax planning and investment portfolios. Now, as an adviser, I bring this together to provide clear and practical strategies that support both immediate needs and long-term goals.
Qualifications
I hold a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Finance and Financial Planning, from Curtin University. This qualification has equipped me with the technical knowledge needed to deliver quality advice while maintaining a client-first focus.
I am also committed to continuous learning and professional development, regularly updating my skills to stay ahead in an evolving financial landscape. This ensures that you benefit from the latest strategies and insights, particularly in areas such as retirement income planning, Centrelink entitlements, and investment considerations.
Personal interests
Outside of work, I enjoy tinkering with cars, camping, and spending time with my family. I value new experiences and challenges, and I bring the same enthusiasm and curiosity into my professional career as I do into my personal life.
